Seventeen Buildings, Two Schools Razed in Indonesia Fire
Initial assessments indicate that 17 buildings were consumed by flames in Central Kalimantan province, among them two schools, a state-operated news agency reported.
Officials determined the conflagration originated from an electrical short circuit. The blaze proliferated with alarming speed, ultimately devouring dozens of adjacent structures in its path.
Government agencies are actively identifying substitute sites to ensure displaced students can resume their studies following the obliteration of both educational institutions.
Authorities further disclosed that emergency evacuation centers and communal feeding stations are being established, while clothing distributions are underway for residents impacted by the disaster.
